I arrived in Oslo at 8:30 AM and was met at the airport by Nils Johan and Dena Fosli, and they filled my next four days with great fun and wonderful memories! We went to the Vigeland Park and saw ALOT of naked statues! And we visited some fasinating Museums; the Viking Museum, Kon-Tiki Museum, Munch Museum and Folk Museum, they were all very special in different ways. Nils and I took a nice walk down Karl Johan Street to the Akershus Castle and around the parliment building and just a few minutes in the Deichmanske Library! These were all exciting places to visit, and I am so thankful to Nils and Dena for sharing them with me, but the best part about my visit was spending time with good friends, so I thank Nils and Dena also for nice dinners at home (Nils is a great chef!), fun conversations, some Norwegian practice and mastermind games, (lots of Bananas and apple juice:-) I enjoyed every second! | |
| I also had the great opportunity of meeting two other friends in Oslo! We spent a very fun evening in the company of "Per Helge Seglsten!" It was a multi-cultural evening with Lebanese food and belly dancing at a resturant, and then Swedish dance music (Per's favorite :-) at a North Norwegian pub on the Oslo fjord. But of course the best part of the evening was the fun conversations and company of Per Helge! (I won't share the details of the "slaughter house conversation") Thank-you Per, it was a great pleasure to meet you, and I hope we get more time together on my next visit!! (and, yes Per, I still want a picture with hair :-) |

| A very special surprize was meeting another friend "Jan S. Krogh" at the Oslo Airport! Jan lives in Lithuania, but was passing through Oslo on business, which put him in the right place at the right time, lucky for me!! We had a great visit over coffee (and hot chocolate for me) in between his flights. Jan was very interested in discussing conservative, republican, right wing American politics with a conservative, republican, right wing American :-) Thank-you Jan for a very nice afternoon and conversation, I thoroughly enjoyed meeting you and hope we get the chance again someday! |

![]() Me and Arne Berg |
The second half of my trip was spent in Molde, where I met Arne Lundenes and his wife Berit, and Arne Berg and his wife Hege. They filled my days in Molde with fun and beauty and great memories! Arne Lundenes and I took a nice walk through the charming town of Molde and had a very special dinner with Arne and Hege Berg, where I tried many traditional Norwegian christmas dishes, I LOVE Norwegian food! (of course :-) The Lundenes' also took me for a beautiful drive to the World War II look-out on the North sea, and across the Atlantic highway, through Færne and Kvernes to a stav church. We also went to another very special resturant in the mountains where I tried a traditional potato dumpling dinner (of course I loved it too :-) Arne Berg and Hege took me in the other direction to visit Trollveggen and Trollstigen which were both extremely awesome! (and I also got to ride a ferrie and go through a tunnel :-) then they made me a wonderful grouse dinner which Arne Berg had hunted himself in TROMS (which means it was the best in the world!) I am so thankful to my freinds in Molde for making my visit there so very special, I enjoyed my time there so much, it was wonderful getting to know you better and I especially enjoyed the late night discussions (hope you got some sleep when I left :-) The time went by far too fast, but the memories will last forever! |
