My wife's g,g grandfather was Edward Eliasen/Ellison who was born 1837, probably at Malangen, Troms, Norway. His parents were Elias Hansen (1800-1853) and mother Giertrud Johanna Kielsdatter (1799-1869). He immigrated to the US in the early 1860's and was in Chicago 1864-65 and by 1872 was in Kansas. We believe he may have had a brother or two that immigrated to the Rushford area. One brother may have been a Kiel or Kjeld Ellison, but last name may vary. We know that one of the brothers in Rushford has a daughter named Sophie.
Sorry, I know this isn't much to go on, but we only have 2 small clues that lead us to Rushford.Thanks!
