I have a baptismal certificate and cannot read the place of birth for the individual. It looks like Galsan or Gassan. The date is August 23, 1856, Lyngen. Registered on Jan. 8, 1857. I think it says that the girl was two years old when baptized. I do, from other sources, have an 1854 birthdate for her. I would be glad to scan the document and send it via e-mail attachment to anyone who would like to see if they can figure it out for me. This is research I am doing for a friend. Child's name is Anna Christine, daughter of Salamon Torgren and his wife, Anna Carlsdotter. The family is in 1865 census. I have also found emigration records. They emigrated to Michigan's U.P. and later to Minnesota. Thanks in advance.
