She was a "qvæn" and her father's name was Johannes Isaksen. Britha or Berit married Abraham Jonsen in 1847 and they had 9 children at Hansvold in Balsfjord. I have found her in the 1865 census from there and also her death certificate of 1882. ::Does anyone know any more about her ancestry and Swedish family members? Anything about her life before she married in Norway would be interesting. :<hr> :I don't know if this is much help, but I found the marriage record of Abrham Johnsen Ophus and Brita Grete Johannesdatter: 4 Dec. 1847, Balsfjord. At the time of the marriage, he was 32 and she was 22. I have checked the confirmation and Inflytte records and have not been able to find any additional information about where in Sverige she came from.
